Senior Competitions Finals
Check out the grand finals teams from our Summer 25/26 competition. There were some tough games played on Grand Final Sunday & Monday.
Congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to the runner-ups.
We hope to see you all back on court during our Winter 26 Senior competition.
Grand Finalists
D2 Men - Black
Air Ballers v No Ma'am
Our Division 2 Men Black kicked off Grand final Sunday with the 3rd & 4th placed teams from the regular season facing off in the divisions grand final.
This game saw the scores see-saw all game with scoring runs from both teams at different times in the game. Going in to the second half only 1 point split these teams (26-25). A flurry of scoring early in the second half saw Air Ballers out by 9 only five minutes in.
No Ma’am said just that and levelled the score with 5 minutes remaining in the game. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for No Ma’am as Air Ballers said Yes Ma’am and came away winners 60-51 at the final siren.
Congratulations Air Ballers our Div 2 Men Black champs.
D2 Men - Teal
Splash Bros v MCB
Helping kick-off grand final Sunday saw fourth placed Splash Bros and second placed MCB from the regular season face off in the other opener.
First score on the board went to MCB and this seemed to set the tone for the game with a scoring run of 13-2 setting the foundation for MCB. Half time score saw MCB leading 21-15.
Another spree of points early in the 2nd half had a 13 point split opening up and despite consistent baskets throughout the half it was not to be for Splash Bros with MCB taking the win 50-36.
Congratulations MCB our Div 2 Teal Men winners.
Unisex 1
Magic V2 v Post Smoke
The Unisex 1 grand final was played the same way most of the competition between these 2 teams had been played – closely. With only 1 win separating these 2 teams at the end of the round games the grand final was sure to be a game.
After Magic V2 jumped out to an early lead Post Smoke finally hit to scoreboard 3 minutes in and the scoring from then on never stopped. Half time saw the scoreboard show 40-29 to Magic V2.
The second half was a shoot-out between both teams and despite a late flurry of buckets in the game it was not to be for Post Smoke with Magic V2 emerging with the win 69-64.

Unisex 2
Mamba v A Bit Rusty
Despite scoring the first points of the game it appeared that A Bit Rusty would live up to their name with a 4 minute period in the first half before they bothered the scorer again.
Coming into half time Mamba appeared to find their rhythm coming behind to lead 17-16 at the break.
The second half was a rollercoaster of scoring ups and downs with both teams making runs at different times. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for Mamba with A Bit Rusty pulling away to finish with the win. Final score 46-32 to A Bity Rusty.

B Grade Men
Ball Handlers v Boogie Nights
This game saw the top 2 teams of the competition take on each other in a fast-paced grand final.
Ball Handlers jumped out to an early lead before the scores were levelled partway thru the first half. The second part of the first half saw Boogie Nights go on a 14-6 run leading by 16 at the half.
Consistent offence during the second half ensured Boogies Nights emerged victorious with the final score being 59-29.

C Grade Men
Rizzasaurs v OITB
This game started with frenetic shooting by Rizzasaurs jumping out to a 6-0 lead early.
OITB rallying late in the first half with some strong shooting of their own to be down 32-17 at the half time break.
The second half started similar with a flurry of shooting again by Rizassaurs halfway thru the second half.
Unfortunately, OITB couldn’t quite closedown the gap in scores going down 58-41 as the final siren sounded.

Division 5 Men
White Mambas v Geckos
This game was an evenly contested match between these 2 teams.
Finishing 3rd & 4th on the ladder at the end of regulation games only a draw decided their standings. Both teams were on a high coming into the game having knocked off the top 2 teams in the semi-finals to progress.
The game started evenly with both teams getting early scores on the board. A short scoring burst in the middle of the first half saw the half time score favour Geckos 25-17.
Despite closing to within two points in the 11th minute of the second half White Mambas couldn’t stop the scoring of Geckos with a final score of 43-33 favouring Geckos.

D/E Men
Wollemi Multi-Winners v Nikminut
This game saw 1st versus 3rd from the regular season face-off in the grand final.
A slow start from both teams saw the scores at half time 18-22.
The half time break seemed to kick start both teams with baskets being traded throughout the first few minutes of the second half.
Between the 9th and 14th minute of the second half Wollemi went on a 12 to 1 run to secure the win 42-36 as the final siren sounded.

Division 4 Men
The Fruit Hoops v Rimshots
Rounding out our Grand Final Sunday saw # 1 The Fruit Hoops take on # 2 Rimshots in our Division 4 Mens game.
Starting the game on a 10 – 0 run seem to set the tone for this game and at half time the score was 22-4 to The Fruit Hoops.
Despite trying to rally in the second half it was not to be for Rimshots with The Fruit Hoops coming away with the prizemoney winning 37-14.

Division 2 Women
Cascades v Nebulas
Monday grand final night began with an epic battle between the top two teams of Division 2 women. With both team finishing the regular season with a few games clear on wins this match was going to be good. Cascades jumped out to an early 6-point lead in the first 5 minutes with Nebulas still trying to find their groove. By half time it was close 10-9 to Cascades.
Again, the second half started with Cascades going on a 6 point run but late in the game Nebulas rallied scoring 14 point in the space of 6 minutes to outscore Cascades to finish the game 38-27 victorious.
Congratulations to Nebulas our Division 2 Womens winner.
Division 3 Women
Dynamite v Misfits
Game 2 of Monday grand final night saw the game get off to a slow start for Dynamite with the scores only 2-8 halfway thru the first half.
By half time Dynamite had fought back to only trail by 1 at the half (11-12).
With some consistent scoring in the second half from both teams this one was going to come down to the final few minutes and with 2 minutes to go the scoreline only had a 4-point split in it.
Dynamite went on a short scoring burst late in the game to come away with the W and take home the title of Division 3 Women champs with a final score of 30-23.
Congratulations Dynamite on being our Division 3 Womens champs.
